Materials: 24k Gold Leaf, Resin, Acrylic Paint, and Paint Pens
Taken from the ACTS 5:30 – The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree.
This piece went through many years of transformations. This piece required a tremendous amount of effort to complete. There are at least 5 different iterations of the subject matter while the background and foreground evolved to adapt to the iterations.
The piece felt right only once I reached the point of exhaustion. This is it, everything I know and want to throw in, is in there. It’s a beautiful collision of contrast in; surface, colors, and materials. It is Finished.

Bridge to the Past
This piece is an attempt to mend the past. Progress in life is difficult without addressing our past sins. The dominant emotion here is anger as evidence by the broken wood panel. That panel was then screwed together on plexiglass showing the utilitarian nature of our fixing. However, the gold leaf coating the edges of broken wood panel represent God, and His ability to make broken things beautiful and precious.
Redemption at the Table
Redeeming the past is possible. Going back, to go forward takes work. This #artWORK is a time capsule. 20years ago this #artWORK was a table that sat in the middle of my first apartment in San Francisco. The layers upon layers (Front and BACK!) of artists who collaborated to create a timeless imprint of themselves is captured, accentuated and preserved in a resin casing. There’s a balancing act happening, like a beautifully choreographed dance, of the past, present and future intermingle in harmony.
The Cruxifixion of Jesus Christ
These pieces are an artistic interpretation of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Each panel juxtaposes two subjects/images/icons and they tell a story in sequence from left to right; Nail -> Hand -> Thorns -> Lamb -> Blood -> Water.
